PURPOSE OF ROLE:   The Inventory Assistant is responsible to assist in managing and optimizing inventory levels, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and maintaining the efficient flow of goods in and out of the warehouse.
This role plays a critical part in minimizing costs and maximizing operational efficiency.  Role Requirement Inventory Management: Inventory Accuracy: Achieve and maintain a 99% inventory accuracy rate by systematically comparing physical counts with inventory management system records.
Conduct monthly evaluations of inventory accuracy and address discrepancies promptly.
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Auditing: Conduct weekly SOP audits to ensure a 100% compliance rate.
Utilize audit report findings and compliance checklists to drive process improvements.
Daily Stock Checks: Count 100% of predetermined SKUs daily and report findings to supervisors.
Maintain detailed daily count logs and ensure supervisor acknowledgment of all reports.
Damaged Stock Management: Remove 100% of damaged stock from inventory locations and take appropriate actions within 24 hours of identification.
Maintain a damaged stock report and action log for continuous improvement.
Process Auditing: Present weekly audit findings and insights to supervisors, ensuring 100% accuracy and detail in all reports.
Use audit feedback to refine inventory management processes.
Record-Keeping: Data Accuracy: Maintain 99% data accuracy for all inventory levels, transactions, and adjustments.
Perform periodic data audits and verification against physical counts.
Cycle Counts and Physical Inventories: Conduct regular cycle counts and complete two full physical inventories annually.
Ensure all inventory counts are signed off and actioned within 24 hours.
Timely Record Updates: Update 100% of inventory records within 24 hours of any changes or adjustments.
Monitor system timestamps and update logs to ensure compliance.
Quality Control: FIFO and FEFO Implementation: Ensure 100% adherence to FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) principles in stock management.
Conduct random checks and analyze inventory aging reports to maintain standards.
Damage and Expiry Management: Identify and address 100% of damaged or expired items within 24 hours.
Maintain damage reports and corrective action logs to minimize losses.
Damage Rate: Maintain damage rates at 0.1% of total stock holding for the year.
Review year-end damage reports and inventory valuation to assess performance.
Order Fulfilment: Order Accuracy: Fulfill 99% of orders accurately and on time as per the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Use order accuracy reports and SLA compliance logs to monitor performance.
Outbound SLA Compliance: Achieve 98% compliance with outbound SLA targets.
Track outbound shipment logs and SLA performance metrics regularly.
Housekeeping: Workstation Cleanliness: Ensure 100% of workstations and storage areas are neat, clean, and tidy at all times.
Conduct daily cleanliness checks and compile supervisor reports for ongoing assessment.
Equipment Maintenance: Keep 100% of equipment clean and in good working condition.
Maintain equipment maintenance logs and conduct regular inspections.
Safety Compliance: Identify and address 100% of workplace safety hazards within 48 hours of detection.
Use safety inspection reports and corrective action logs to ensure a safe working environment.
Computer Literacy/Systems: Basic proficiency in Windows and the MS Office suite.
