Location: Johannesburg, ZAInternational Express Courier Sales SpecialistJob ID - 6449Job Purpose:We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven New Business Sales Executive/Business Development Manager to join our team and promote our international express courier services.The New Business Sales Executive/Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying potential clients, developing relationships, and closing sales deals.This role requires a strong understanding of logistics and international shipping, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills.This role is pivotal in expanding our market presence and client base across various countries in Africa. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the logistics industry within the African region, coupled with strong sales acumen and relationship-building skills.The ideal candidate will have a strong background in new business sales, a deep understanding of fashion and textile logistics, Technology, Industry & manufacturing Logistics or Healthcare industries and a proven ability to build and maintain client relationships.Key Responsibilities and MeasurementsKey Measurements:Minimum of 6 new business meetings per weekMinimum of 1 new business account signed and billing per month, aligned to monthly revenue targetQuarterly revenue target achievement reviewKey Responsibilities:Market Expansion: Identify and pursue business opportunities within the Africa Lane segment, focusing on key industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, technology, and retail.Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within client organizations.Sales Presentations: Conduct persuasive sales presentations to showcase the benefits and features of our international courier services.Negotiation: Negotiate terms of agreements and contracts with clients to achieve win-win outcomes.Proposal Development: Prepare customized proposals and quotations based on client requirements and our service capabilities.Market Intelligence: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and market opportunities.Sales Reporting: Provide regular sales reports and updates to management, including sales forecasts, pipeline status, and market feedback.Customer Service: Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure seamless service delivery and resolve any client issues promptly.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor's Degree or similar qualificationMinimum 3-year corporate sales recordProven track record of achieving set targets for a reputable corporateIndustry as well as product knowledge and experience importantExperience in presentation and negotiation of business solutions at senior management levelValid Code 08 driver's license and own reliable transportTravel locally and internationallyCOMPETENCIES:Strategic ThinkingIntegrityDrive for resultsStress toleranceSKILLS:Customer FocusSound negotiation skillsAn eye for business opportunitiesAbility to work independently with minimum supervisionAbility to persuade and sellSound communication and interpersonal skillsProblem solving and creative thinkingStrategic and consultative sellingAbility to work with department stakeholdersCompany Overview:Since our founding in 1982 we have grown to become a world leader in comprehensive transport and delivery solutions for business and consumers.
