DescriptionThe Internal Consultant will be responsible for supporting and partnering with the Business Transactional Banker with all BusinessTransactional Banking products across cash investments, foreign exchange and transactional banking, by managing the entire salesadministration process, offering a distinctive level of service to new and existing clients.The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day operational processes which will require strong administration and people management skillsand a sense of ownership.Sales and Relationship Management: Marketing and sales of all Business Transactional Banking products across, cash investments, foreign exchange and transactionalbanking as per allocated budget.Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in the Group to acquire/convert clients for (Investec for Business, Coverage,Private Banking, and Treasury Sales and Structuring).Identifying clients' needs, presenting and implementing these solutions, as well as enabling clients to utilize our digital platforms(online and mobile).Applying first line of credit (target market and serviceability for vanilla transactional Banking products).Analysis of financial statements if required to determine entry level criteria.Driving proactive client contact and managing client expectations.Attending deal/ credit forums with lending product areas when and if required.
Product knowledge: In-depth understanding Investec's Business Transactional Banking product offering (Cash Investments, Transactional Banking andForeign Exchange).
Clear understanding of the Bank's different Transactional product offerings and target market definitions.
The incumbent will need todrive product cross-sell and utilization.
Good understanding of the market offering and how Investec compares The incumbent would need to have a BComm Degree, and/or FAIS accreditation, with 3 – 5 years financial services experience in afrontline/similar role (preferably having dealt with business clients with turnover of R30m-R500m).
