JOB TITLE: Internal Account Manager – Channel Sales AREA: Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa INDUSTRY: ICT Sales Salary / CTC: R 24 000 – R 26 000 (depending on current earnings, experience and qualifications) Report to: Sales Manager Job Summary: The purpose of this Internal Account Manager position is to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met whilst driving revenue and business growth.
Key Responsibilities: Ensure the development of profitable sales and the achievement of sales targets in the Durban regionResponsible for the internal management of strategic account setContact customers proactively to follow up on quotes and opportunitiesAttend to and initiate sales callsDevelop and maintain strong customer relationships understanding their business needs,challenges, and opportunitiesIdentify and build relationships with key stakeholdersBuild an active customer base, identifying sales opportunities and growing business revenueto achieve a sales budget on a continuous basisImplement the agreed business sales strategyMaximize sales by expanding orders and upsellingSupport the External Sales team in implementing sales strategy and in developing new salesopportunitiesServe as the primary point of contact for customersAct as liaison between customers and Company departments to communicate and co-ordinatedeliveries, general information, ETAs, and provide feedbackProvide exceptional customer service by promptly addressing queries, resolving issues,addressing complaints, and ensuring SLAs are metPrepare and compile all quotations as per specificationsProcess ordersProcess relevant delivery notes and documentationMeet and exceed the agreed SLAs on quoting and deliveriesNegotiate prices to achieve sales targetsFollow up on orders with other departments to meet SLAsUpdate the External Account Managers daily, providing them with feedback on accountsPrepare and present management with weekly sales and activity reports, including pipeline, run rates, and daily quotation reportsWork closely with internal departments, including the Brand and Logistics teams, to ensure seamless execution of customer requirementsLiaise with stores and dispatch regarding deliveries of all orders and supply of invoicesAttend product training and acquire updated knowledge in terms of brands, products, and operating processesUpdate stock reports, backorders, and orders received on a daily basisLiaise with clients as well as partners on daily queriesWork committedly within agreed-upon company-targeted budget revenue, marketing, and expense parametersAttend Sales and Brand eventsEXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE: A minimum of two (2) years of Account Management and Sales ExperienceDistribution experience is advantageousUnderstanding and/or experience within the ICT distribution industryWorking experience in a customer service environmentExperience preparing and presenting quotationsExperience developing sales plans and closing dealsSKILLS AND EDUCATION: Matric is essentialA tertiary qualification in Sales, Business Management or IT will be an advantageProven sales skills/abilityExcellent verbal and written business communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsGood attention to detailDeveloped negotiation skillsGood time management and well organized i.e., deadline driven, able to plan and prioritize a high workloadTechnology drivenAble to complete basic calculations (ability to work with numbers) PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES AND QUALITIES: Able to work in a pressured environment, to chase and meet targetsPassionate about salesExcellent communicatorEnjoys building customer relationshipsGood at collaboration and working as a teamGood conflict management skillsInterested in IT products and technologyStrong administrative abilitiesSelf-managed and able to take accountabilityProactive individual with high energyAnalytical thinker with the ability to problem-solveCOMPLIANCE COMPETENCIES Perform all duties with integrity, to the highest ethical standards, and in compliance with all relevant legal, contractual and other requirements as mandated by the Company Code of Conduct.Keep up to date with changes in applicable compliance obligations, controls and measures relevant to the role.EXTRAS Travel Required: No
