They value open communication, teamwork, and mutual respect.Duties & ResponsibilitiesAs an Intermediate DevOps Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing the platform infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:Ensure high-availability of platform infrastructure, including services, virtual machines, and specific databases (e.g., SQL, NoSQL)Provision changes and new infrastructure to AWS using Terraform, with a strong emphasis on cost-effectivenessMaintain, advance and optimise AWS service usageMaintain and troubleshoot Kubernetes clusters and Ansible scriptsEnsure all databases have consistent, monitored backup schedules, with regular restore testsEnsure compliance with platform security policies and continuously align with our clients' security requirements, addressing any gaps promptlyGuide team members in best practices related to DevOps and cybersecurityLead and manage infrastructure and automation projects, ensuring cross-team collaboration and successful outcomesMaintain a healthy, performant software deployment environment, including GitLab instance management, and CI/CD pipelinesDesired Experience & QualificationThe ideal candidate for the Intermediate DevOps Engineer role will bring a strong understanding of AWS services and networking. You will be proficient in Kubernetes management, Docker and Helm, as well as Linux CLI and Linux Server administration. Your skill set will also include:Strong understanding of AWS services and networking (e.g. ELB, S3, WAF, EC2, CloudTrail, RDS)Proficiency in Kubernetes management, Docker and HelmProficient in Linux CLI and Linux Server administration; comfortable with Bash scriptingProficient in Windows server administrationSolid understanding of REST APIs, HTTP protocols, SMTP, and SNMPPractical experience with CI/CD systems (GitLab preferred) and monitoring systems (e.g., Grafana, PRTG)Comfortable with basic coding (e.g. Python or similar), knowledge of TerraformFamiliarity with Azure environments, Active Directory and Office365Experience with relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and basic query knowledgeUnderstanding of various electronic document formats (JSON, XML, YAML)Ready to take your career to the next level?
