Translations.com is seeking an Instructional Designer to form part of their creative team composed of Instructional and UX/UI Designers, who work collaboratively on designing and delivering bespoke learning solutions for global companies. The Instructional Designer will work closely alongside other team members, Project Managers, eLearning Developers, and Solutions Architects. A successful candidate will have a good understanding of methodology of learning and existing technologies and industry trends related to eLearning. This person will focus on how to make learning engaging and memorable for different types of audiences.Responsibilities:Analyze learning needs to effectively determine learning solutions that address knowledge and/or performance gaps in the target market.Author high-level design proposals, content outlines, and job aids to ensure fit for purpose.Develop storyboards with detailed instructions for the development team using various authoring tools (mainly Articulate Storyline, Rise, and ADAPT).Promote collaboration, partnership, and relationships among the participants and stakeholders in a design project (Project Managers, Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and Design and Development team members).Oversee project consistency during learning solution analysis, design, and development.Apply advanced adult learning theories into practical, application-based learning strategies.Communicate effectively in visual, oral, and written form to deliver engaging presentations to business leaders.Design learning that reflects an understanding of the diversity of learners, including the demonstrated understanding of cultural differences that may apply.Required Skills, Knowledge and Experience:BS or MA degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology or equivalent work experience.Knowledge of adult learning principles and notions of visual design principles.Experience working in an agile (SAM) and waterfall (ADDIE) design environment.Experience designing, developing, and delivering emerging learning solutions including game-based learning, video, micro-learning, simulations, and immersive scenarios requiring multiple branching elements strongly preferred.Proficiency with industry standard design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Storyline, and ADAPT) desired.Organization (ability to deliver projects on time, ability to estimate efforts for upcoming projects, appreciated experience with productivity tools).Capable and comfortable working independently and with a team.Excellent communication skills in English.Inquisitive personality driven by curiosity and the desire to learn and share knowledge.Portfolio of works.
