Joya Brands is looking for an Insights and Channel Specialist to join their team! Position/Title: Insights and Channel Specialist Reports To: Head of Marketing Function: Marketing Location: Atlantis, approx. 50 km outside of CT center Number of Reports: 0 Overall Responsibility: Deliver an insights-based channel strategy that supports the business growth objectives by driving the Perfect store concept, which includes availability, range and assortment planning, defining and setting category management standards to improve the overall shopper experience and contribute to achieving brand share and profitability targets.
Main Responsibilities Focus Area 1: Deliver channel strategy in channel and customerDefine segmentation opportunities within categoryDevelop long-term segmentation vision and plan for the development of the categoryDefine the categories and channels that the company needs to participate inDevelop and agree on category strategic objectivesAssess and recommend strategic optionsDevelop category forecast that overlays with salesDevelop and manage category budgetManage category profitability and rangeDevelop a category pricing strategyPlan and lead category management projects to optimize rangeSupport Tier 3 launches through execution of category management responsibilitiesFocus Area 2: Deliver category and consumer insights through data management, insights, and reportingGather shopper, consumer, competitor, and category data from various internal and external sourcesAnalyze information to gather insights and determine competitor, category, and consumer trendsCompile insights derived from a variety of sourcesInterpret, review, and report on information to identify gaps and deliver insights to the organizationMonthly performance monitoring & presentation for both Marketing & Sales (management meeting)Report on and provide insights on sales and market trends with a proposed course of actionPerfect Store outlet execution & performance analysisMonitor and update monthly KPI scorecardsMeasuring ROIDevelop a product mix, profitability model by channel & accountMeasure ROS vs. sell in (monthly risk)Weekly review of customer Webi reportsUpdate and maintain sales metrics dashboardDevelop insights through key account shopper dataFocus Area 3: PlanningAssortment planning: planning the product range and proposing which products should be added and/or eliminated from the rangeFloor planning: planning the layout of the store while considering the store flow, aisle spacing, and creation of hot spotsProduct price planning: analyzing the target market of each store to ensure the correct product range is chosen to suit their price needsPromotion planning: planning and implementing promotions and supporting implementation of marketing and customer strategiesFocus Area 4: Deliver insights and intrade launch and coverage planSupport innovation process and new launches through solid insights and in-market action plansPlan and execute NPD projects with support of Brand teamsSupport Tier 3 launches through the category management processIdentify potential innovation opportunities through in-market feedback and formal insightsExecute duties in line with NPD process and actively participate in delivering the commercial proposition of a projectMonitor and feedback on success of NPD rollouts across sell in, volume, and availability and propose corrections where requiredConduct post-launch analysis on NPD and provide insights into areas of development and penetration into marketFocus Area 5: Retail ManagementDrive category management by key customer by region by clusterOptimize shelf space and product allocationImplement the perfect store concept for channels and by customerResponsible for visual merchandisingInfluence delivery of standards through the use of planograms and effective use of point of sale and off-shelf opportunitiesSupport export market drive where requiredRequirements of the Role Qualification: Degree in Marketing, Business Management, or Sales/Category ManagementExperience: >5 Years Marketing/Category Management/Trade Marketing experience in FMCG environmentComputer Skills: Proficiency in MS OfficeBusiness AcumenFinancial/Budget ManagementDemonstrated analytical ability with in-depth knowledge of Circana/Nielsen and other consumer and shopper research methodologiesPlease note if you do not receive a response to your application within 3 weeks, please consider your application unsuccessful.
