Injection Department Manager

Established company in Anchorville, Lenasia (South of Johannesburg) seeks an experienced Injection Department Manager who is able to professionally manage the overall coordination and management of the plant's Injection Department and project functions to satisfy the long and short-term objectives of the company.
Minimum Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Operations Management, Engineering or Business Management.
Experience: More than 5 years' related experience; Plastic Injection knowledge is preferred.
Knowledge: Management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, forecasting, scheduling, real-time operations management and coordination of people and resources.

Responsibilities:

Prepare operational schedules and coordinate manufacturing activities to ensure production and quality of products meet specifications.
Assist in directing plant activities to achieve optimum utilization of machinery and equipment and maximum efficiency of operations.
Recommend capital improvements to the plant which result directly in improved safety conditions and quality of finished products, leading to value added and improved efficiency of operations.
Develop or revise standard operational and working practices to ensure compliance with standards.
Resolve operational and manufacturing problems.
Communicate areas of accountability and performance expected of people and resources.
Must be able to work under pressure.
Ability to use computer management tools.
Good interpersonal relationship.
