Key Responsibilities:System Management:- Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft Windows Server environments (e.g., Windows Server 2016/2019/2022).- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core services.- Monitor system performance and ensure reliability, availability, and security.- Implement and manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Security and Compliance:- Ensure systems are compliant with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.- Apply security patches, updates, and service packs regularly.- Implement and maintain security protocols, including antivirus, firewall, and intrusion detection systems. Backup and Recovery:- Design, implement, and manage backup solutions to ensure data integrity and availability.- Perform regular data backups and recovery operations.- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans. Network Management:- Support and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and firewalls in conjunction with Network specialists.- Troubleshoot and resolve network issues related to Microsoft environments.- Manage VPN, remote access, and other network services. - Virtualization and Cloud Services:- Administer and maintain virtualization platforms like Hyper-V or VMware.- Manage cloud services like Microsoft Azure, Office 365, and SharePoint.- Migrate on-premises services to cloud environments when necessary. Technical Support:- Provide technical support to end-users and resolve issues related to Microsoft systems and applications.- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues within Microsoft environments.- Document issues, solutions, and processes for future reference. Automation and Scripting:- Develop and maintain automation scripts using PowerShell or other scripting languages to streamline administrative tasks.- Implement automated monitoring and alerting systems to ensure proactive management of IT infrastructure.- Collaboration:- Work closely with other IT teams, including network administrators, IT Technicians, and security teams.- Participate in IT projects and contribute to the design and implementation of new systems and services.- Train and mentor junior IT staff and provide guidance on best practices. Experience:- 5-8 years of experience as a System Administrator or similar role, with a focus on Microsoft technologies.- Proven experience managing Active Directory, Windows Server, and related services.- Experience with cloud platforms like Azure and Office 365. Skills:- Strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems and enterprise environments.- Proficient in PowerShell and other scripting languages.- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues.- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Soft Skills:- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying potential issues.- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively.- Strong analytical skills with the ability to think strategically.- Customer service-oriented with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical users. Work Environment:- May require after-hours or weekend work to perform maintenance, upgrades, or troubleshooting.
