Information Security Manager (Public Sector / Government)

One of our public sector clients are in need of hiring an experienced Information Security Manager in Johannesburg. Qualifications and experience: IT related degree CISA / CISM / CISSP certificates CGEIT / ITIL / or related IT certificates No less than 8 years' experience in information security environment, of which 5 years' must be within a Supervisor / Manager role MUST have a proven track record of consulting with medium to large business or enterprise level MUST have experience regarding pragmatic application of best practices : ISO27001 MUST have experience leading a multi-discipline team ORACLE, LINUX, MS SQL knowledge ITIL / COBIT knowledge CISCO ./ LAN / WAN knowledge Audit / business / financial knowledge Understand legal security requirements Clear criminal record 2 Reference checks will be conducted upfront Key skills: Communication Team player Leadership Interpersonal Technical Adaptable Analytical Problem solving Project management Negotiation Conflict management Key performance areas: Plan, implement and manage information security strategies Run security committees Set the security budget and manage it Identify and facilitate development of security standards and processes Oversee implementation of security policies and processes Involved in decision making forums Drive security training Provide security trends, related to capital and financial markets Incident management
