Reporting to the Group Leader in the Tooling Department, you will fulfil the necessary requirements within the Department to meet the Company's objectives by providing effective leadership to ensure a motivated team and a workstation that enables the manufacturing of high-quality components.KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:Maintain quality and always adhere to quality standards.Maintain stable production-delivery.Manage timekeeping and attendance.Task assignment to team members.Achievement of health and safety standards.Implement appropriate corrective action where necessary.Update activity boards on required build schedule.Reduce defects per unit at hand over of parts.Ensure build cycle requirements and hand over dates are met.Manage and control issuing and receiving of parts and consumables.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:Minimum: Matric (Grade 12) / NQF Level 4 qualification (full qualification not certificate).Ideal: National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Production Management/Engineering or related field.Experience: At least 2-3 years production related experience.Thorough knowledge and experience of all aspects of Tooling department.Knowledge of infusion is advantageous.Good communication skills both verbal and written.Able to work weekends and overtime.Able to work under pressure.Display initiative and lead by example.Have a thorough understanding of the quality condition within the company.Work to a fixed Production Schedule.Able to understand Drawings and Lay up schedules.Have a hands-on approach on all issues of finishing.COMPETENCIES:Good leadership, planning, organising, communication and control skills.Able to motivate staff to meet desired outcomes.Decision Making.Job Type: PermanentApplication Deadline: 2024/10/16
