We are seeking a motivated and skilled Inbound Wholesale Consultant to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for managing relationships with our wholesale partners and ensuring seamless communication and service delivery for inbound travel bookings.Responsibilities:Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with wholesale partners and travel agents to drive inbound travel bookings.Booking Management: Handle and process inbound wholesale travel bookings, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.Experience in selling FIT packages and excellent knowledge of destinations in Southern Africa.Tourplan knowledge would be an advantage.Good knowledge of MS Office applications.Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.A demonstrable interest in travel and sound knowledge of Southern Africa and key product offerings.A competent grasp of geography.Must be able to tailor-make itineraries.Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.Good time management skills and enthusiasm.Ability to work well as part of a team and cope under pressure.Providing general and specific advice about different travel destinations.Receiving requests from agents and clients and providing quick and professional responses to all enquiries.Preparing quotes, evaluating options, presenting itineraries, issuing invoices, and obtaining feedback.Drawing up complicated and creative travel itineraries and ensuring that all the needs of the customers are met.Tour administration and reservations include booking suppliers, logging all tailor-made groups, obtaining and approving all pro-forma invoices before being passed to accounts.Informing agents of supplier deadlines and alternate arrangements when needed.Researching private guided tours.Advising customers about travel issues including required documentation and financial matters, such as appropriate exchange rates.Dealing with payments and making alternative arrangements for customers who have had their trips interrupted by unforeseen issues.Responding to all calls quickly, professionally, and courteously.Ensuring to complete all return calls/emails every day.Securing business and cost products.Building up and maintaining agent/supplier relationships.Sourcing & selling alternative services.Successfully running groups/tour series/FIT bookings.Margin control and preparing welcome packs (vouchers/itineraries etc).Handling the 24hr emergency phone.Reconciling supplier invoices for processing.Reconciling tour guide expense sheets and checking guide salaries.Assisting in answering complaints.Thorough understanding of reservations system.Management of clients and agent relationships is key to this position.Minimum Requirements:Must be a senior consultant with at least 5 years' experience in tourism.Must have superior knowledge of South Africa (both geographical and product).
