Minimum Requirements:Grade 12Logistics or Supply Chain Diploma/DegreeAt least 5 years experience in a similar roleCustoms procedures experienceExport documentation experienceSAP experience Duties and Responsibilities:Lead and manage the customs and compliance team, ensuring accurate and timely completion of customs documentation and procedures for all plant shipments.Oversee the preparation and submission of all import/export documentation and customs declarations for smooth and efficient movement of goods.Stay updated on changes in customs regulations and trade laws to guarantee ongoing compliance.Resolve customs-related issues and discrepancies, including tariff classification or valuation disputes, to minimise delaysContinuously analyse customs data to identify opportunities for improving processes and reducing costs within the plant.Ensure adherence to all government laws, licensing regulations, and import/export requirements.Develop and implement efficient systems, policies, and procedures for import and export documentation.Verify customs documentationTrain staff on procedures and regulationsMonitor and manage duties, taxes, and fees to minimise the financial impact on the plant's international trade.Implement technology solutions to streamline customs documentation and reporting processes.Develop freight shipment solutions for improvements a PLEASE NOTE: Thank you for your interest in this position, we will review and be in touch if you are suitable.
