Immigration Consultant - Senior

We are looking for a dynamic, proactive and results-driven Immigration Consultant to join our immigration team.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for managing and coordinating the immigration process in South Africa and across various African locations.This role requires a deep understanding of global mobility policies and immigration laws.Key responsibilities:Ensure compliance with immigration laws and company policiesManage a list of clients, as well as provide guidance and support throughout the application processDevelop, maintain and coordinate strong relationships with key stakeholders, external vendors and service providersConfidently handle a range of immigration related applications and renewalsRespond to complex immigration queries and emailsAssess/interpret facts to determine possible applicable visa categories and problem areas to clientsDraft required supporting and motivation documents for visa applicationsCompile visa application packs in accordance with the Immigration Act and practice principlesComplete the visa application process from start to finish while managing timelines, problem areas and client expectationsLiaise with the Department of Home Affairs on complex issues or overdue applicationsProvide training and support to the team, external vendors and service providers as requiredProactively work to resolve any issues or challengesCollaborate with other departments in support of the immigration processQualifications and Experience:Grade 12 Senior Certificate3 to 5 years of proven experience as an Immigration Consultant or in a similar role, ideally managing African immigration assignmentsKnowledge and understanding of the South African Immigration ActSkills:Ability to read and understand Acts/Gazettes legal noticesCreative writing skills and excellent command of the English language (written and verbal)Ability to think analytically, solve problems and think outside the boxConscientiousness and ability to follow through on instructionsStrong business acumen, administrative and organisation skillsConfidence to liaise with Home Affairs / Immigration officials telephonicallyYou will need to be able to work independently and without being extensively managedHigh level of Microsoft Office Suite proficiencyAbility to provide thorough and detailed reportsJob Types: Full-time, Permanent
