DescriptionAn employment opportunity is available for a Human Resources Manager, reporting to the Hospital Manager. The successful candidate will provide Human Resource support to stakeholders including employees and hospital leadership, facilitating and implementing agreed deliverables aligned to business strategy and in collaboration with line management to maintain best practice HR programs, policies, and systems.
Critical OutputsRecruitment & Selection: Custodian and coordinator of all processes relating to the recruitment, selection, and placement of new employees in line with company policy and best practice.Onboarding and Orientation: Ensure that all new employees undergo a full and effective micro and macro-orientation and induction process following placement.Employee Relations: Ensure cordial employee-management relations by implementing and sustaining appropriate initiatives. Manage disciplinary and grievance processes in line with company policy, labour legislation, and best practice. Advise management on labour relations and disciplinary matters. Represent the Company at the CCMA. Stay updated on changing labour legislation to ensure compliance.Performance Management: Coordinate performance management processes and monitor compliance with policies and procedures. Drive a culture of accountability and high performance across the hospital.HR Reporting and HR Metrics: Collate, interpret, and analyze HR data and key performance indicators to identify trends requiring management intervention. Compile and submit a monthly HR feedback report on key themes and progress.HR Administration: Act as the custodian of all HR records, data, information, and administration processes. Participate in audits by providing relevant payroll information and implementing corrective actions.Management of HR Service Level Agreements: Ensure all HR Service Level Agreements with various providers are executed successfully.Employment Equity: Act as the appointed EE Manager for the hospital and ensure compliance with the Employment Equity Act.Skills Development: Act as the appointed Skills Development Officer (SDF) for the hospital and fulfill all SDF duties as per the Skills Development Act.Reward and Recognition: Ensure alignment of remuneration practices and analyze trends to attract and retain staff. Implement non-financial Reward and Recognition programs to ensure employee motivation.Payroll & Time and Attendance: Manage administrative processes regarding leave, new engagements, terminations, and payroll. Ensure accuracy and effectiveness of Time and Attendance processes.Organisational Design: Continuously review the organization's structure.Corporate Social Responsibility: Partner with stakeholders in delivering the hospital's corporate social responsibility programs. Provide HR leadership and guidance throughout the hospital.RequirementsA three-year Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources Management or a relevant HR qualification at NQF level 7.
Minimum 3-5 years of Human Resources Generalist experience covering the full spectrum of HR work. Experience in a unionized environment and private healthcare is advantageous.
Good knowledge of Remuneration, Talent Management, Transformation, Recruitment and Selection, Learning and Development, IR, and Performance Management.
Computer proficiency required.
