You will support all talent management operations and activities within the business ensuring the business remains both an employer of choice and a high performing organizationEmployee Relations managementAssist and resolve employee queries, requests, and concerns.Handle conflict management and mediation.Support internal communication.Provide counseling and coaching on personal and business-related matters.Advise management on internal processes, policies, procedures, labor law, and employee relationship managementConduct labour relations processes as per Company policy and SA labour law including:Compilation of warningsManagement of grievance processes.
and preparation of necessary paperwork Minute-taking during consultations/meetingsPrepare for the Company at CCMAHR system management (DNA)Submit payroll information to the Payroll AdministratorAssist with the review for the payroll input and any queries emanating from the inputHandle leave queriesCapture and manage training, performance, and IR data in the DNA ESS systemProvide monthly employee headcount reports to Finance.Draw and analyse system reports as requiredAnalyze and report on a variety of HR metrics across the business both ad-hoc and monthly.Update company organogram and telephone listAccountable for recruitment and onboarding processManage the relationship with external recruitment agencies where positions are to be filled.Receive and review candidate submissions prior to submitting them to the hiring manager for reviewArrange interviews as required and provide feedback to external recruitment agencies / candidatesPreparation of employment agreements for new employeesMonitoring that new agreements are signed and filed in the employee folderRequesting all the recruitment / onboarding verification checks if the recruitment is not done via an agencyEnsure all documentation for a new employee is complete and filed in the employee folderManage Group Life Benefits with third party providerEmployee exit proceduresEnsure resignations and termination paperwork is complete and submitted to payrollManage Company Employment EquityCo-ordinate committee meetingsMinute meetingsEnsure committee documentation is signedComplete all forms for DoLManage the regulatory submissionsManage the annual calendar for regulatory reporting / submissions to ensure deadlines are not missedPreparation and submission of the annual Employment Equity dataPreparation and submission of the annual ROE dataManage Department of Labour InspectionsManage and submit any Injury on Duty claimsComplete HR tasks on key strategic projects to ensure successful implementationOngoing engagement with Old Mutual business partners to ensure alignment with key processesSet-up and conduct HR surveys as requiredAssist with training and development, content creation, assist with updating and maintaining the Learning Management SystemCompile and check data/ information for Company newsletter and presentationsWork closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retentionChampion company culture and valuesResearch HR trends and best practice to suggest new HR strategiesQualificationsMatricRelevant Tertiary qualification preferably an HR Diploma OR DegreeA minimum of three (3) years experience in a similar positionMust thoroughly understand SA labour and employment lawMust be proficient in Excel, Word, Powerpoint and Outlook (Microsoft Suite)Job CompetenciesOwn transport and valid drivers licenseExcellent time management, well organized and planned i.e., deadline driven and able to prioritize a high workload.Excellent attention to detailAbove average computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPointCustomer Service orientatedCan manage a high stress and pressurized environmentExcellent communication skills (able to communicate with a diverse range of people at all levels of an organization)Business writing skills are importantExcellent people skills and EQMust be willing to go the extra mileTechnology drivenBasic calculations (ability to work with numbers)Self-actualization (capacity to assert oneself)Motivation (ability to motivate others)Negotiation (in a spirit of co-operation with the aim of an amicable outcome)Tactful and diplomatic (courteous and respectful manner)Excellence orientation (set and achieve high standards and ongoing improvement)Feedback (provide positive, helpful and productive feedback)Liaison (establish effective personal contact / channel for Communication between parties)Written and verbal communication (convey information through written / verbal instruction)Decisiveness (ability to make decisions, render judgment, take action and apply corrective measures)Evaluating (ask questions, analyze, give attention to, and attend to detail)
