HC GROUP DATA ANALYST The HC Group Data Analyst is responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting data to inform strategic decision-making.
The HC Group Data Analyst plays a vital role in leveraging data to support evidence-based decision-making and drive HC initiatives that align with organizational goals and objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Managing the integrity of HC data across the various platforms.
Gathering data from various HC systems, including employee databases, performance management systems, recruitment platforms, and employee surveys.
Analysing HC data to identify trends, patterns, and correlations.
This may involve using statistical techniques, data visualization tools, and predictive analytics to derive insights.
Creating reports and dashboards to present HC metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs) to stakeholders, such as senior management or department heads.
Identify and develop strategies and initiatives based on data-driven insights, such as workforce planning, talent acquisition, employee engagement, and retention strategies in conjunction with the HCE.
Identifying opportunities to optimize HC processes and enhance efficiency through data analysis and recommending solutions for continuous improvement.
Ensuring HC practices and policies comply with legal and regulatory requirements by monitoring data for compliance issues and providing recommendations for mitigation.
Establishing and maintaining data governance standards and protocols to ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of HC data.
Communicating findings and recommendations effectively to HC colleagues, both verbally and through written reports and presentations.
Generate and consolidate reports on HC metrics monthly and as and when required for board, and board sub-committees.
Assist payroll model systems.
BEE Scorecard tracking and verification.
HR legal and compliance submissions.
SKILLS REQUIRED: Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques.
Ability to clean, manipulate, and analyse large datasets to derive meaningful insights.
Ability to create clear and informative visualisations, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards.
Understanding of HC processes, policies, performance management, compensation and benefits, employee engagement, and workforce planning.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify trends, patterns, and root causes within HC data and provide actionable recommendations and improvement.
Thoroughness and attention to detail in data analysis and reporting to ensure accuracy and reliability of findings.
Must be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, prioritise work, and meet deadlines effectively.
COMPETENCIES: Relevant HR / IT qualification + 5 Years work experience in a Retail / Manufacturing environment.
