Job Summary: The company is looking to recruit someone to take on the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Support role within South Africa, who will help candi to further deliver premium solar solutions. Given that candi is taking solar into a new realm with a new set of tools, the role will require creativity, innovation and proactive involvement.
Responsibilities:
Supporting the development, implementation, and maintenance of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies and procedures.
Tracking, recording, and reporting all incidents, near-misses, and safety violations.
Coordinating safety training programs and ensuring that all employees are adequately trained in HSE policies and procedures.
Preparing and disseminating safety-related communications, including newsletters, bulletins, and posters.
Maintaining and updating all necessary safety records, certifications, permits, and logs.
Preparing and submitting regulatory reports and documentation required by environmental and occupational health agencies.
Providing support to the South African HSE Representative in organising safety committee meetings and implementing initiatives for employees.
Compiling and reviewing EPC and contractor HSE Files.
Location: Johannesburg, combined with working from home.
Hours: Full time.
Job Requirements:
SAMTRAC, MSRM, NEBOSH or similar qualification is required.
Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role.
Must be organized and capable of general administration duties.
Must have an understanding of health and safety issues and how the health and safety department operates.
Understanding of OSH Act.
Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Must have basic project management skills.
Experience with office software (Google Suite or similar).
Must have the ability to work under pressure.
Drivers License (Code 08).
