Company DescriptionThe role of the HRD Officer is to support the HR/HRD Coordinator and the HRD Manager (where applicable) with the purpose of ensuring the effectiveness of the HRD in terms of processing competencies in the operation.

Job DescriptionYou will also be responsible for:
Support the formation of business proposals for discipline-specific Human Resources Development projectsCoordinating external and internal training coursesCo-ordinate required legal and expert advice regarding discipline-specific HRD issuesSupervise trainees in discipline-specific HRDMonitoring and advising on discipline-specific HRD practices and proceduresCo-ordination of training coursesPractical follow-up to assess the effectiveness of HRD in a practical work environmentAnalyze operational trends and take appropriate action in terms of trainingLiaison with HR team to solve problems that impact on HRDAdvise team on the implications of HRD legislation and policies for work practices and systems in the operation and advise on appropriate changesSupport the setting up of necessary employee communication channels in terms of HRDExternal monitoring and benchmarking of alternative HRD approaches to ensure continued competitivenessCounsel employees on HRD issuesSupport managers to identify potential traineesManage the certification of discipline-specific HRD for required external ratificationCompile accurate reports for HRD issuesFinancial management of HRD services to plans and budgetsEnsure the preservation of departmental records and statistics; support the overall discipline-specific HRD management of the operationProvide the required control and information systems to track the operation's performance from an HR perspectiveThis role is at a D1 Level reporting to the HRD Coordinator QualificationsShift Leader Development Program CertificateNQF 5 OD ETDP Higher Certificate; Assessor CertificateExperience 3 years processing experience, of which 2 years as Shift Supervisor or Senior HRD PractitionerKnowledge and Skills NQF Level 5 theoretical base descriptorsAdditional InformationWhen you join Anglo American, you can expect to enjoy a competitive salary and benefits package.
