Supervise daily housekeeping operations to ensure standards are met.
Assign tasks and responsibilities to housekeeping staff.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities.
Train, mentor, and evaluate housekeeping staff to maintain high performance levels.
Schedule staff shifts and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage.
Quality Control:
Ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are cleaned to the highest standards.
Address and resolve any guest complaints regarding housekeeping services promptly and efficiently.
Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure consistency in cleanliness and service.
Inventory Management:
Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies, linens, and guest amenities.
Place orders for supplies as needed, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and minimal waste.
Conduct regular inventory audits and manage stock levels.
Coordination with Other Departments:
Communicate and coordinate with the front desk, maintenance, and other departments to ensure seamless operations.
Participate in daily briefings and meetings to stay informed about lodge activities and guest requirements.
Assist with special projects and events as needed.
Health and Safety:
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.
Conduct regular training sessions on proper cleaning techniques, use of equipment, and safety protocols.
Address and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately.
Guest Relations:
Greet guests warmly and address any specific needs or requests.
Ensure that VIP and special requests are fulfilled to enhance guest satisfaction.
Maintain a presence in guest areas to interact with guests and receive feedback.
Qualifications:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent. A degree or diploma in hospitality management is preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3-5 years of housekeeping experience in a luxury hotel or lodge setting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
Skills:
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in using housekeeping management software and MS Office.
