Housekeeping Manager

Situated on a wine estate on the outskirts of Stellenbosch, this 5* boutique hotel wishes to appoint a Housekeeping Manager.
Responsibilities:

Maintain high standards of cleanliness and attention to detail in guest accommodation and guest/public areas.
Ensure that maintenance service requirements are recorded and reported immediately.
Supervise and control the laundry operation in accordance with established methods.
Control housekeeping expenditure.
Manage purchasing and price control to enable stock counts to be calculated at current prices.
Monitor stock control systems of personal bars in guests' rooms, linen, guest amenities, and cleaning materials.
Conduct monthly stocktake of personal bars in guests' rooms, housekeeping consumables, and linen.
Manage the Housekeeping Team.

Requirements:

SA Citizen.
Minimum 2 - 3 years of Housekeeping Management or senior Supervisory experience in a 5* boutique operation.
Stock Control Experience.
Hospitality and service training experience.
Knowledge of creating and implementing SOPs.
Computer literate.
Creativity.
Literacy and numeracy skills.
Fluent in English (speak, read, and write).
Strong people skills.
Strong guest focus to ensure guest expectations are exceeded.
Flexibility – adapt successfully to changing situations and environments.
Attention to detail.
Pro-active person with a well-developed concept of the importance of providing a world-class guest experience.
Reliable and trustworthy.
Clear work and criminal history.
Own reliable transport.
Preferably live in the surrounding areas of Stellenbosch, Eersteriver, Somerset West.
