Purpose of PositionYour moment to be exceptional has arrived at The Rees Hotel Queenstown!The Hotel Duty Manager plays a key leadership role at The Rees. As the first point of contact for hotel guests, you will be customer service driven and enjoy exceeding guest expectations while managing daily operations for the hotel.This is a permanent role and we are recruiting for one position.Key Responsibilities includeDetermining work requirements and allocating duties to other departments to ensure smooth running of the hotel, especially Front Office.Performing front office, reception and reservations duties.Responsible for the health, safety and wellbeing of the Front Office team on shift, and with a wider health and safety focus across the hotel.Supporting team members' performance and development, and highlighting any matters that require attention.Overseeing the work of the front office and suggesting suitable improvements that can be implemented.Maintaining attendance records and rosters.In charge of guest feedback when on shift.Skills, Experience and AttributesAt least two years' relevant hotel/front office experience in high quality properties.Relevant industry qualification (diploma/degree level) desirable but not essential.Current Manager's Licence (Liquor Controller Qualification) or be in a position to obtain one.Current full driver licence as well as First Aid Certificate advantageous.Food and beverage service experience highly desirable.Strong verbal and written English language skills.High standard of personal presentation and grooming.Strong time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure.Strong computer skills and experience with PMS (preferably RMS Cloud).Available to work a variety of shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.Long term commitment to Queenstown.Benefits and RewardsFull-time permanent role.Minimum 30 hours per week guaranteed.Sustainability is at the forefront of everything we do, with a strong in-house environmental and social sustainability programme.Free parking and meals on duty.Wellbeing initiatives, including Employee Assistance Programme.Access to product knowledge famils of the surrounding region.Applications from NZ residents/citizens strongly encouraged.Interested?
