Key Outputs

Assembly of hydraulic hoses as per customer requirements and to CATERPILLAR hose information system specifications
Adherence to contamination control requirements
Ensure a safe and healthy work environment
Ensure machinery is in good working condition and calibrated as per factory specification
Accountable for keeping of hose assembly register
Ensure that work areas are maintained clean and hazard free at all times
Receive hose requirements/specifications from parts and service sales liaison
Verify against HIS to validate correct specifications/requirements
Pick loose parts dependent on plant specific layout and process
Select correct hose and cut to specification
Tag hose with correct information
Seal and dispatch as required
Sign off hose assembly in hose register
Build hydraulic hoses per sample as and when required
Provide assistance in other areas within the warehouse as and when required

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

Grade 12
Certified hydraulic hose assembler will be an added advantage
Previous experience in hydraulic hose assembly advantageous
Working knowledge of all supplied fittings and their use
Working experience with MS Office / ERP systems
