Heavy Machine Operator (Incinerator)

Job Responsibilities:Ensure waste is sorted before incineration.Ensure waste is clearly marked and labelled.Ensure waste is kept in a controlled area and secured.Ensure ash is removed and disposed of correctly and securely.Monitor incinerator temperature and report any faults.Ensure waste is weighed from both internal and external clients.Safekeeping of the record book.Ensure scale works properly.Ensure the site is clean and maintained.Ensure strict access to the site.Ensure there is enough safety material for execution of tasks (e.g., face masks and earmuffs).Ensure incoming waste is packed in complying packets and clearly marked.Ensure the site is locked after working hours.Attend safety meetings and briefings.Ensure waste is recorded correctly and forwarded to the office for invoicing.Attend to incinerator-related enquiries.Record weekly diesel levels.Inspect and report any faults with the machinery.Perform minor machinery maintenance (e.g., ash removal).Maintain the dumping site.Minimum Requirements:Matric; Driver's License will be an added advantage.Knowledge of applicable safety laws related to farm machinery.Good verbal and written communication skills.Attention to detail and highly safety-conscious.Enquiries: Ms. Kedibone Mahanayele, Tel: (012) 529 9176CLOSING DATE FOR APPLICATIONS: 25 SEPTEMBER 2024Competitive remuneration package will be congruent with the scope, responsibilities, and stature of the position.
