DescriptionRPO Recruitment is currently representing a leading packaging company that is seeking a Health & Safety Officer to join their team. As a Health & Safety Officer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of employees and promoting a safe working environment in the packaging industry.ResponsibilitiesCo-ordinate and participate in all Hazard Analyses conducted at KZNCommunicate and train risk awareness in all staffManage Contractor H&S requirementsUpdate all legal appointments as required when there are structural or leadership changesPlan and distribute monthly SHE Awareness talksTrack Evacuation DrillsLog all IODs requiring medical treatment with COID and Dpt of Labour where relevant.Update IOD graph (DIFR) Tracking IOD investigations and follow up on actions arising from investigations.Initiate annual refresher training for Forklift Drivers, Stackers, First Aiders and updating certificates & licences on file.Conduct H&S audits on all departments.Track New Machine Risk Assessment turnaround times.Arrange annual and return to work Medicals for all employees in high-risk areas identified by the HIRA process.RequirementsMin N3 Civil, Mechanical or ElectricalA qualification in SHE (Health and Safety) management3 years experience as a Safety OfficerStrong technical backgroundStrong excel and reporting skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.BenefitsSalary: NegotiableContact RPO Recruitment for your next career opportunity.You can also visit the RPO Recruitment website: rporecruitment.us or email us your CV: ****** will contact you telephonically in 3 days should you be suitable for this vacancy.
