The Head of Transformation and Operations will provide overall leadership and management direction to the Operations Team for VFS Southern Africa and be responsible for transforming the existing systems and processes into a world-class operation. The position will cover the operational scope of all service areas and will be responsible for developing Volvo on Demand offer, wholesale financing solution and insurance product offer enhancement. The Head of Transformation and Operations will provide the highest level of customer service to dealers, customers, the Volvo Group, and Volvo Financial Services personnel supporting Volvo Financial Services becoming a world-class finance company.
Reporting: This position reports to VFS Managing Director. Job Objectives:  Ensures that all operations activities are in alignment with VFS and Volvo Group policies and procedures.Ensures effectiveness, robustness and transparency of the Operations processes by analysis of KPI's and drives continuous quality and process improvements within the Operations function.Controls the production and management of documentation in accordance with security and compliance requirements and to meet audit guidelines and targets.Identifies and evaluates operational and administrative risks and recommends on mitigation procedures; operational risk incidents need to be reported to the Managing Director in order to ensure that operational risks are measured and appropriate risk mitigating actions are taken.Manage and lead the Solutions Engineer and make sure the person is aligned with VFS IT and Volvo IT locally and globally on current Volvo and VFS solutions and system or program rollouts.Implementation of new CMS system and the project management of the chosen solution.Co-ordinates with Legal Counsel to maintain local legal requirements including updating documentation.Evaluate, develop and implement new income revenue/cost saving initiatives including Volvo on Demand, wholesale finance and insurance offerings.Recruit, develop, train and retain talented people for the various roles that might be required to launch new initiatives such as Volvo on Demand, wholesale finance and insurance offerings.Establish and maintain relationships with various role players internally and externally to enable the successful rollout of new initiatives.Assess and ensure the competency of the direct reports and reinforce accountability through Management by Objectives and monitor target achievement.Supporting the VPS (Volvo Performance Systems) journey.Who are you?Do you dream big? Qualification & Job Experience: University degree in Business Management / Credit Finance or equivalent is required.Green fields project management.10 Years Experience (4 Years Leadership or Management Experience).Preferred Experience, Technical Skills and Knowledge  Knowledge: Good knowledge / understanding of financial services products and services.Experience in operations department preferably from a bank or leasing/captive company.Proven record of analyzing current systems and process and enhancing them.Experience in managing and leading an operations team is an advantage.Experience in working in international environment.Good financial understanding.Job Related Skills: Highly target-driven, self-motivated and willing to take responsibility.Ability to train, develop and motivate their team.Proven excellent statistical and analytical skills.Good team player.Project management.High level of English (oral/written) and high communication skills.Strong leadership competencies.Strategic and Innovative thinker.What's in it for you?We offer a solid package of compensation and benefits.
