Head Of Supply Chain

The Head of Supply Chain is responsible for developing and implementing a supply chain strategy that delivers the lowest total cost, reduces inventory, achieves target service levels, and maximises customer satisfaction through world class service.Responsibilities:Build strong relationships with factories and suppliers, ensuring a continuous long-term partnership.Oversee all purchase orders, adjust purchase patterns, and monitor shipment and production schedules to meet responsibilities.Evaluate supply chain capabilities from supplier through to branch distribution network.Oversee production environments.Coordinate project execution and contract management, receiving handovers from the proposals team.Evaluate vendor performance to ensure lowest cost, highest quality, and timely deliveries.Optimise logistics and maintain inventory in the distribution centre.Forecast requirements.Source services, materials and components.Supervising and training employees.Create the supply chain strategy and manage supply chain best practices.Analyse data from shipping and delivering processes to find bottlenecks and other issues.Monitor logistics to make sure they run smoothly.Develop and implement safety guidelines in all aspects of the supply chain (e.g. use of trucks, forklifts).Essential Requirements:Matric.Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field.10+ years of supply chain experience.5+ years of supply chain Management experience.Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes.Manage supply chain in distribution business with 20+ distinct suppliers/ agencies.Large number of SKUs 10k+Long lead times on parts/ SKUs used in critical applicationsStrong Excel skills.#J-18808-Ljbffr
