Head Of Programmes

Our client is looking for a Head of Programmes.
This role is responsible for the overall planning, execution, and delivery of the organization's programmes.
This includes developing and managing the programme portfolio, ensuring that programmes are aligned with the organization's strategic goals, and overseeing the work of programme managers and other staff.
The Head of Programmes must have a strong understanding of programme management principles and practices, as well as the ability to lead and motivate a team.
Responsibilities:  Contributing to the overall organisational strategy and its implementation.
Identification, development, implementation and evaluation of innovative, national campaigns and projects aligned to the strategy.
Leading and developing the Programmes Team, ensuring their understanding and focus on the national programmatic strategy.
Building and managing external partnerships in South Africa and regionally relevant to Programmes Develop content, positions, and key messages for communications, fundraising and educational purposes.
Planning, implementing, controlling and reporting on the programmatic budget and expenses.
Key skills:  Strategic thinking.
Excellent presentation, communications, and negotiation skills.
Sound and up to date knowledge of the South African legal framework as it pertains to Animal Welfare.
Qualifications: Several years of relevant experience in the leadership and management of programmes and campaigns in an NGO environment Planning, organisation, time management, and coordination Fluency in written and spoken English and native / national language.
Proficiency in MS Office Willingness to travel nationally as well as driver's license Great affinity to animal welfare
