Purpose of the Role: Lead the value-add processing and pre-packing facilities across Africa, by being a legally appointed 16.2/GMR2.1 appointee, to ensure optimal operations, long-term sustainability, and business growth. Develop and implement strategies that drive continuous improvement, efficiency, and compliance with health, safety, and accreditation standards.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical preferred), or a relevant field/Postgraduate - advantageous.
GCC Factories qualification (essential), with 10 years of post-GCC experience.
Experience:
10 - 15 years of experience in factory and prepack facilities, preferably within the agriculture or FMCG sectors.
At least 5 years in a 16.2 Health and Safety role or similar.
Experience managing large teams across multiple sites.
Knowledge & Skills:
Expertise in managing export-focused fruit processing businesses.
Knowledge of local/export market accreditation requirements.
Proficiency in financial planning, CAPEX management, and African agricultural regulations.
High computer literacy.

Effective communication and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently under pressure.
Commitment to operational excellence across multiple sites in Africa.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy & Process Optimization: Drive productivity, standardize processes, and implement a 5-year growth strategy across all facilities.
Financial & Business Management: Support budgeting, optimize profitability, and report monthly financials to senior management.
People Management: Lead performance management, foster positive labor relations, and drive employee engagement.
Health & Safety: Manage HSMS, ensure regular risk assessments, and oversee ISO45001 accreditation.
Capital Projects: Approve technical aspects and ensure timely, budget-compliant completion of projects.
Continuous Improvement: Enhance efficiency, aim for 2% gross profit improvement annually, and increase production volume.
Compliance & Governance: Ensure statutory obligations are met and maintain ethical business practices.
Operations & Maintenance: Implement maintenance strategies, standardize operations, and manage warehouse and stock control.
Accreditation: Oversee compliance with health and safety regulations and manage audits.
