An Exciting Opportunity AwaitsAn accomplished Head of Payroll/Payroll Manager with a financial background is sought to lead a proficient team to new heights of excellence in the role of Head of Payroll. As the Head of Payroll, you will spearhead and optimize payroll operations, manage all aspects of payroll operations within the organization, and ensure compliance with South African labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee payroll operationsEnsure accurate and timely payroll processingEnsure compliance with labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requirementsDrive process improvements and handle complex payroll mattersCollaborate with Divisional Operations to meet external client requirementsMinimum Requirements: 6-7 years of payroll management experienceExperience in South African legislation and regulationsExperience in a financial institution/environmentManagement experience (managing team leaders)Experience with a cloud-based payroll systemBachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or related fieldProfessional certifications in payroll or related fields are advantageousSkills and Competencies: Profound command over any cloud-based payroll systemIn-depth grasp of South African labor laws, tax regulations, and statutory requisitesProficiency in data analysis and reportingEffective leadership, communication, and collaboration skillsStrong decision-making acumen with unwavering ethical standardsKey Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end payroll processing across various pay frequenciesEnsure accurate input, processing, and reconciliation of payroll dataMonitor payroll compliance with Group policies, frameworks, and SLAsStay updated on South African payroll regulations and tax requirementsFoster internal controls, conduct audits, and manage audits' remediationChampion process improvement initiatives to streamline operationsCollaborate across HR, Finance, and Divisional Operations for seamless data integrationManage relationships with external vendors and service providersLead, guide, and develop the payroll team for growth and success#J-18808-Ljbffr
