Join our client, a leading FMCG conglomerate in South Africa, as they seek a seasoned Logistics Executive to lead their global logistics function.
About the Opportunity
As Head of Logistics, you will be responsible for overseeing and steering the company's warehouse, transport, and distribution network.

Develop and implement logistics strategies to drive business growth and efficiency
Manage internal operations and 3PL's to ensure seamless supply chain management
Implement a flow strategy from production sites to customer DC's to optimize logistics operations
Optimize costs through process improvements and supplier negotiations
Collaborate with procurement teams to develop and implement contracting and tendering strategies for outsourced service providers
Lead sustainability and technology advancements from a logistics perspective to drive business innovation

Requirements

BCom degree in Logistics, Supply Chain or related field
10 years relevant experience in a senior logistics role
Experience working in the FMCG / Food and beverages industry
Strong leadership and business acumen skills to develop and manage high-performing teams
Ability to travel nationally to various locations
Senior stakeholder engagement skills to build and maintain strong relationships
