HEAD OF LIFE SCIENCES Applications are invited for the following post commencing 1 January 2025. The successful applicant will report directly to the Deputy Head of Academics and will ideally:
be experienced in teaching Life Sciences up to, and including, Grade 12, and Natural Sciences to Grades 8 and 9be an innovative and experienced educator who relates well to both adolescent girls and colleaguesdisplay a love for the subject and be able to nurture a curiosity for learningbe dynamic as a teacher, and have a passion for developing a relevant and rich curriculumhave a willingness to offer subject support and to have a caring approachbe open to ongoing personal and professional developmentbe an experienced IEB marker for NSC examinationshave a proven track record of an effective leadership role within a schoolinspire a team of teachers and have excellent administration, organization and communication skillsbe competent in, and excited about, the use of digital pedagogybe SACE registered, with an appropriate university degree and teaching qualificationhave a minimum of five years' teaching experience in a similar environmenthave evidence of Police clearance if offered the roleApplications must include an updated CV of no more than 2 pages, details of 3 referees and a letter motivating why the applicant should be considered for the position.
