Job Summary: Head of I&T: Technology & Operations at VKB AgricultureJoin VKB Agriculture, a leading agricultural company based in Reitz, Free State, as the Head of I&T: Technology & Operations. This pivotal leadership role provides an exciting opportunity to drive transformation and operational excellence within a dynamic, growth-oriented environment.Key Responsibilities:Lead and mentor a high-performance I&T team, overseeing Tier 1 & Tier 2 support, desktop engineering, server management (physical and virtual), IT asset management, and cybersecurity.Spearhead the development and implementation of DevOps Infrastructure, role-based configuration management, and full I&T automation to minimize downtime and enhance service delivery.Collaborate closely with executive leadership to define operational strategies, develop policies, and ensure alignment with overall business objectives.Manage strategic vendor relationships, oversee departmental workflows, and recommend system modifications to improve efficiency and capacity.Ensure robust incident management processes, monitor performance metrics, and deliver reports on I&T operations status, including SLA compliance and issue resolution.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field; relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Cobit, and TOGAF are advantageous.10+ years of experience in I&T leadership roles with a track record of managing complex technical projects and building high-performance teams.Expertise in modern technology platforms, ITSM principles, and best practices in cybersecurity.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to understand and communicate Afrikaans being an advantage.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with a commitment to exceeding expectations and delivering results under pressure.Proven ability to handle tactical and strategic issues, multitask effectively, and maintain focus across diverse projects and processes.
