Responsibilities:Logistics Management:Oversee the entire transportation supply chain, including inbound and outbound logistics.Collaborate with manufacturing organizations, transportation companies, and logistics providers.Manage business relationships with suppliers and choose new partners.Develop short-to-medium range plans for the logistics department based on the organization's long-range plans.Set department-specific goals, prioritize them, and evaluate goal achievement.Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to the logistics team.Collaborate with the HR department for personnel decisions.Customer Care:Improve customer service experience by addressing customer issues promptly.Take ownership of customer problems and follow through to resolution.Deploy strategies focused on enhancing customer satisfaction.Set a clear mission for the customer care team.Budgeting and Cost Management:Plan and execute the budget for the logistics department.Ensure adherence to budgets.Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining service quality.Manpower Development:Train, coach, and develop the logistics team.Execute the firm's transportation and warehousing strategies.Ensure employees are assigned tasks that match their competence.Performance Metrics:Monitor performance outcomes, especially in organizations where logistics is outsourced.Collaborate with transportation and warehousing leaders to analyze network opportunities.Recommend efficient and low-cost network changes to support customer shipments.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).Farm equipment experienceProven experience in logistics management, preferably in the automotive industry.Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and develop teams.Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.Proficiency in budgeting and cost management.
