Head Of Animal Welfare

Our client is looking for an experienced and passionate Head of Animal Welfare to lead their department.
The successful candidate will drive animal welfare initiatives, manage the department, and ensure the highest standards of care and ethical practices.

Responsibilities:Lead and manage the Animal Welfare Department, ensuring all projects align with the organizations mission.Oversee the development and implementation of welfare programs and policies.Ensure compliance with ethical and legal standards of animal welfare.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including partner organizations and regulatory bodies.Manage the departments budget, resources, and staff.Prepare reports and present findings to the board and relevant stakeholders.Stay updated on the latest trends and research in animal welfare to continuously improve practices.Key Skills:Strong leadership and management abilities.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.Deep understanding of animal welfare standards, laws, and ethical practices.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.Experience in project management and budget oversight.Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role within the animal welfare sector.Proven track record of successful project management.Knowledge of current trends and advancements in animal welfare.Valid drivers license.Qualifications:Degree in Veterinary Science, Animal Welfare, or a related field.
