We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head Guide to lead our team of guides and enhance our guests' safari adventures.Key Responsibilities:Lead and supervise a team of safari guides, ensuring high-quality and informative wildlife experiences for guests.Conduct guided safaris and game drives, providing expert knowledge on wildlife, flora, and the local environment.Develop and implement training programs for new and existing guides to ensure adherence to lodge standards and safety protocols.Coordinate and schedule safari activities, ensuring optimal guest experiences and efficient use of resources.Ensure all guides are well-versed in safety procedures, emergency protocols, and conservation practices.Maintain and manage guiding equipment and vehicles, ensuring they are in excellent working condition.Build and foster strong relationships with guests, addressing their needs and feedback promptly and professionally.Collaborate with other departments to enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency.Stay updated on the latest wildlife trends, conservation issues, and guiding techniques.Requirements:Minimum of 5 years' experience as a field guide, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.In-depth knowledge of African wildlife, flora, and ecosystems.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proven track record of providing exceptional guest experiences.Valid FGASA NQF 4/Level 2 qualification.Valid driver's license and PDP (Professional Driving Permit).First Aid certification.Strong leadership skills and the ability to train and motivate a team.Passion for wildlife conservation and commitment to high safety standards.
