Head Chef - Mossel BayOur client based in Mossel Bay is looking for a dynamic, creative and passionate Head Chef to join their team.Duties and Responsibilities:Staff Management - training, mentoring, upskilling, full managementStock Management - stock takes, stock rotation, wastage and spoilage controlMenu Design - adaptable to function menus, a la carte and buffet menus - promotions, wine tasting, etc.Menu Costing - ensure a consistent and sustainable menu costHealth, Hygiene and Safety Standards - implement and controlFood Safety Standards - implement and controlGeneral Administration - reports, rosters, etc.Liaising with Guests - including organizers for various events i.e. matric farewells, weddings, etc.Any other duties as required by managementQualifications:Diploma in culinary arts5 years minimum in a similar roleFully computer literate - MS Office SuiteFluent in English and AfrikaansOwn reliable transport due to locationCompetencies:Leadership skillsExcellent communicationRoll up sleeves and get stuck in - lead by exampleKeeps abreast of culinary trendsCreative / passionateDeadline drivenMulti-taskingHonest, reliableTraceable references
