Halaal Cdp Chef/Pastry Chef

Job descriptionMisty Hills Country Hotel, Conference Centre & Spa requires the services of a Halaal CDP/Pastry Chef.The incumbent needs to have at least 5 years experience in a similar role and able to coordinate full Halaal CDP Chef function. The responsibilities will include:· To ensure that all stocks are kept under optimum conditions.· To ensure that all mise-en-place is always freshly prepared and on time.· To ensure that all dishes are being prepared to the correct recipe and to the correct quantity.· To ensure that his section is being kept clean and tidy at all times.· To ensure that any anticipated shortages are communicated promptly to the sous chef or head chef.· To ensure that no horseplay is allowed in his section and that all staff under his control are treated fairly and with courtesy.· To deputise in the sous chef's absence and take charge of the kitchen when directed to do so.· To attend training courses and seminars as and when required.Minimum Requirements:· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Work well in a stressful environment· Familiar with hospitality industry standards· High school diploma or equivalent· Qualification from a culinary school, with a Halaal CDP/Pastry Chef Certificate· Past experience working in a similar role, Halaal CDP/Pastry Chef· Ability to work well in a team· Knowledge of best practices for safety and sanitation· Passion for delivering great food and service· Multitasking and organizational abilityPlease send your CV to Chef Vusi Ngcobo at ****** OR Linda O'Dwyer at ****** by no later than 12 April 2024.Job Type: Full-timeJob Types: Full-time, PermanentApplication Deadline: 2024/04/12#J-18808-Ljbffr
