Experienced Guest House Manager needed for a 3 Star Bed and Breakfast, Conference Center and Event Center in Eastern Cape, Ntabankulu near to Kokstad.
The successful candidate needs to be a mature, experienced, energetic person who is looking for a new challenge.
A well-rounded candidate with a stable, proven track record, including Guest House Management experience, would be an advantage, who is outgoing, friendly, and well presented.
Should have keen eye for detail, be hands-on and practical.
Must be able to work unsupervised and independently with small compliment of staff.
Excellent understanding of service excellence, passion for hospitality and very client focused.
Minimum Requiments:
Grade 12 with a tertiary qualification
You must have a stable track record with contactable references
Fluent in MS Office, MS Word & MS Excel
Must have experience with property management systems and booking engines like Oracle Hospitallity, Nightsbridge, Ezee Front Desk, Booking.com, Lekkeslappe, Airbnb etc
Managing Food & Beverage operations
Driver's license essential
Professional and well groomed
No criminal record
Fluent in English
Required Experience:
Previous work experience of at least 7 years in the related guest house / hospitality industry.
Good all-rounder with experience in all aspects of the operation sales/marketing/ housekeeping/ front office/ property management.
Must be able to multitask with good organizational and planning skills, with ability to work well under pressure.
Basic knowledge of HR matters and procedures.
An understanding of budget control and financial management and planning.
General office administration and management ability and excellent time management skills.
Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
This individual will be responsible of the following:
Housekeeping
Reception
Front of House
Greeting and attending to the needs of the guests, to ensure a superb customer service experience
Book in and invoicing guest
The person will also be responsible for doing daily Reservations and knowledge on a Property Management System, Bookings.com, Airbnb and other online bookings sites would be an advantage
Oversee breakfast service in the mornings / evening shifts and dinner service
Assist in menu planning & food quality check and assisting in the kitchen if needed
Keep stock, inventories, and stock take
Hosting and guest liaison
Ensure the performance of guest house staff is always up to standard
General management of the running of the guest house
Room checks
Develop self within job role
