Our team is growing! We are looking for a creative, dynamic, quick-thinking and quick-learning Guest Experience Coordinator (itinerary planner) role based in Cape Town, in a boutique luxury travel company. Must have a passion for sourcing the unique and the "unknown", be very strong with understanding and planning logistics, have a pain-staking eye for detail, be curious, willing to learn from mistakes and be pro-active about problem-solving, a great communicator (verbal and written), and ideally someone who is naturally leans towards "out the box" thinking.RequirementsREQUIREMENTS:Cape-town based (hybrid role - offices are currently in Greenpoint) and Cape Town knowledgeable. Client management, tactful complain resolution, flexibility around guest needs and preferences, willingness to "show-up" for guestsBe willing to be on call outside of traditional office hours - may need to man company phone line at timesAbility to come up with creative itineraries for guests to experience their destinations in a personalised mannerKnowledge of the travel sphere, what is known and what is unique so as to craft special experiencesPain-staking attention to detail is a MUSTAbility to independently research, reach out to and follow-up with partners, create the physical itinerary, communicate proactively and effectively with suppliers for accuracy and creativity, ensuring logistics are exact and accurateAdvise on group travelBasic accounting abilities - calculating costs of itineraries to accurately quote and invoiceIntuitive & pro-active problem-solvingAbility to work independently but also reach out to manager and the team of help and ideas. Balanced team-player5+ years work experience in Events, Travel Industry, or HospitalityProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc)Keep up to date with and accurately advise clients on specifics around logistics, travel requirements, what to expect, etcA good understanding of travel trendsTactful, understanding and kind demeanour with clientsAbility to handle issues and complaints gracefullyMaintaining a high degree of professionalism and maintaining client confidentialityStrong organisational skills a MUSTDevelop and maintain strong and positive relationships with suppliers, vendors, clients, and partnersTravel expense monitoring and trackingLearn the travel booking system and other tools the company usesTravel trends and cost analysisKnowledge of travel regulations and policiesResponsive on team group chat and on SlackPersonal accountability is a MUSTDESIRABLE:Event planning experienceWorking with B2B partners in the luxury travel industryA foreign languageMail chimp and social media abilitiesKnowledge of "Chase" SystemStrong geographical knowledgeHaving personally travelledPERKS:Opportunities to experience the world of luxury travelSupportive, encouraging and kind work environemntCo-working office spaceReporting to an awesome manager who wants you to succeed!Things to note:This position does not sponsor visas to stay/reside in South AfricaMust have own transport/ability to get to the office (Greenpoint, Cape Town).BenefitsAbove market-rate salary.Growth potential in an exciting industry.Co-working space in a very desirable location.
