Role Overview:
As the Guest Activities Shift Leader, you will be at the forefront of guest interaction, leading by example with your enthusiasm for hospitality. You will oversee the Guest Activities team and Porter/Drivers, ensuring that our guests have access to exceptional services, activities, and tours that enhance their stay with us. Your role will also involve driving sales targets and maintaining strong relationships with local businesses.

This is a permanent role and we're recruiting to fill one position.
Key Responsibilities: Guest Service:
Deliver outstanding service, from warm greetings to providing local recommendations and baggage assistance. Manage the hotel shuttle service, ensuring timeliness, compliance, and cleanliness. Shift Leadership:
Guide and support your team, manage the weekly concierge calendar, coordinate transfers, and ensure smooth daily operations. Sales & Activities Management:
Promote excursions, train your team on product knowledge, and manage sales reporting and invoicing. Teamwork & Communication:
Ensure seamless service through effective handovers and collaboration with other departments. Participate actively in meetings and briefings. Health & Safety:
Uphold health and safety standards, participate in training and audits, and report incidents accurately. Skills, Experience, and Attributes: Experience:
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in guest services or hospitality, ideally in a five-star hotel. Proven leadership or supervisory experience in guest services, activities coordination, or front-of-house operations. Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication. Exceptional organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. High level of initiative, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail. Proficiency in Property Management Systems (PMS) and hotel management software. Strong sales proficiency, with a track record of driving revenue. Knowledge of Queenstown's activities, tours, and attractions is a plus. Attributes:

Strong problem-solving abilities, with composure under pressure. Detail-oriented with a commitment to high service standards. Collaborative team player with strong communication skills. Long-term commitment to Queenstown. Full driver licence desirable, with P endorsement beneficial. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
