Our client, a bespoke luxury group with Spa's in the lodge industry, is looking for a Group Spa General Manager. You will be responsible for the overall success and smooth running of the group. Overall, the performance and success of the brand, operations, customer service, hygiene standards, health and safety and training and development will fall within your ambit.
OPERATIONS Manage all aspects of day-to-day operations.Ensure that daily operations are carried out efficiently and economically within agreed policies and procedures.Develop and implement Spa policies and procedures.Ensure that business units are always effectively staffed and fully functional.Ensure they are always clean, tidy, and ready to receive guests.Ensure that the health and safety policies, procedural standards, and regulations are always adhered to for the safety of all facilities and clients.Always ensure effective stock control for an efficient operation of all facilities.Develop and introduce systems to ensure that beauty treatments are appropriate to clients, i.e., are not contradictory to the client medical conditions and lifestyle.Develop new Spa treatments and train staff accordingly.Ensure each unit meets its monthly/annual revenue targets.CLIENT SERVICE Drive service standards within the group so that all clients are treated to the very best service from the moment they arrive at any Spa to when they leave.Develop effective strategies to receive client feedback.Continually monitor and review client feedback and take appropriate action to rectify adverse trends identified.Develop in-house training workshops to ensure the highest quality of client care delivery within the facility.Ensure that clients always comply with the client rules and procedures.SALES AND MARKETING Ensure continuous growth of the brand and group Spa client base.Set sales targets for the Spa and ensure the achievement of those targets.Liaise with the marketing team for guidance, advice, and assistance on marketing and promoting the business units.Promote and market the business units and their services by developing publicity opportunities.PEOPLE MANAGEMENT Recruit, supervise and lead your team and ensure that they are adequately trained to carry out their respective jobs.Ensure all members of each team are effectively managed and supervised.Always ensure adherence to human resources policies.Ensure that all staff are aware of developments, policies, practices, and procedures.Ensure thorough communication to ensure that employee-related matters are effectively addressed.Ensure that Spa staff are developed and motivated to perform to the best of their abilities.FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT Prepare and monitor Spa budgets, revenue targets and business plans.Ensure that financial targets relating to Spa revenue are achieved.Identify, review and research opportunities for improvements and innovations which will maximize opportunities and improve the overall performance of the facility.RequirementsMatricDiploma in Somatology (or related)First Aid certificate3– 5 Years' prior experience as a manager in a 5* Spa environment.Minimum 3 Years' experience in the hospitality or tourism environment.Team player but should also be able to work independently where required.Must have excellent interpersonal skills.Must be an innovative and constructive thinker.Must be proactive and show initiative and punctuality.Must have the ability to work under pressure.Be able to resolve problems.Home to one of the most iconic destinations on the continent, providing world-class experiences to soothe the body and mind.
