Group Reporting Technical Accountant

A leading manufacturing company, listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Technical Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. As a Technical Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting in accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). You will play a critical role in interpreting and applying accounting standards, providing technical accounting guidance, and preparing financial statements. This position requires a deep understanding of IFRS, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly. Duties:Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRSProvide technical accounting support and guidance on complex transactions and new accounting standardsEnsure compliance with JSE listing requirements and other regulatory standardsCollaborate with external auditors during the annual audit processAnalyze financial data and prepare reports for managementAssist in the preparation of budget forecasts and financial planningSupport the implementation of new accounting systems and software Education and Experience:CA(SA)At least 3 years post articles experienceStrong knowledge of IFRS and experience in preparing IFRS-compliant financial statements
