Job ResponsibilitiesOversee the full Human Resource DepartmentDevelop and implement a People Strategy that is aligned to the company's overall strategic objectivesDevelop people strategies, streamline, and design the appropriate approach, for diagnosing and enhancing organisational effectiveness and employee satisfactionSupport current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation, and preservation of human capitalEnsure that Group HR policies and procedures are regularly developed, maintained, managed, legally compliant and implemented correctlyMaintain management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and proceduresDevelop, implement, and maintain a People Plan for all business unitsManage the organisation design process and ensure that structures enable the achievement of business objectivesFacilitate change and transformation initiativesSupport, drive and embed the desired culture and values in all business unitsPartner with line to embed company culture and values in all processes and practicesCollaborate with the HR team and line managers to champion and accelerate a culture of excellence in which people feel engaged and inspired to perform and deliver to business resultsDevelop and facilitate a learning environmentDevelop, manage, and provide guidance on the implementation and application of a performance management systemEnsure that processes and practices are in place to measure and manage performance of individuals and teamsEffectively manage employee relations processes and proceduresDevelop, communicate, implement, and review career paths, succession plans, talent management policies and proceduresEnsure all positions have accurate role profiles and are gradedPartner with relevant HR departments and line managers to provide a competency frameworkPartner with Learning and Development department and line managers to ensure an appropriate and value add Workplace Skills Plan and provide feedback on Return on Investment (ROI)Partner with Recruitment Department to provide an end-to-end recruitment service that supports delivery of the business growth plansEnsure that an effective and relevant onboarding process is in place for all employees across all areas of the businessOversee the effective processing of all payrolls and related administrative functionsConduct annual salary benchmarking and reviews, and provide input to increases, package alignment and bonus structuresProvide input to compensation and benefit packages, needs, and trends, provide recommends and process required documentationEnsure legal compliance with relevant employment, employment equity and skills development legislationIdentify people initiatives e.g. People Survey, wellness, and healthDevelop, monitor, analyse and provide HR metrics including but not limited to recruitment, labour turnover, ER cases, leave, absenteeism, salary bands, performance ratings, employment equity and skills developmentEnsure human resource records are maintained through an effective filing and retrieval system for current and historical recordsAnalyse and interpret reports, including but not limited to remuneration, benefits, organisation structure, job levels, leave management, attrition, and provide recommendations that guide decision making and proactive solutionsEnsure that all employee queries, requests, and grievances are addressed in a timely and courteous mannerProvide functional expertise in areas of employee relations, development, performance management, feedback, coaching, remuneration and benefits, and recruitmentProvide timely information and or upskilling for all levels of the business on HR and related people policies, processes, and proceduresPartner effectively with third party service providers to deliver to business requirementsEffectively lead and manage a cross-functional Human Resource teamRequirementsGrade 12 or equivalent qualification requiredA three-year tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management or related qualification requiredDriver's License: code 8 is an advantageMinimum ten years' experience of which five years must be in a management roleProven track record of delivery at strategic, tactical, and operational levelExperience working as a member of a senior leadership teamDemonstrated experience in various HR functional areas including recruitment at all levels, employee relations, performance management, organisation development, change management, remuneration and benefitsDemonstrated experience working with HR metricsKnowledge of relevant labour law and HR practicesProven experience working with multiple ER CasesHands-on experience with Human Resource Management software including payroll systemsExperience in Retail or FMGC environment added an advantage
