Remuneration: Between R100000.00 – R1.200000.00 per annum negotiable Purpose Of The Job: The HR and Payroll Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining policies, coordinate human resource activities, such as employment, compensation, labour relations, benefits, training, and employee services as well as successfully coordinate the payroll for the different dealerships and repair centres.Responsibilities: HUMAN RESOURCES Manage team of HR administrators, responsible for the following functions: Assisting with the cost-effective recruitment and selection of staff including verification of references, qualifications, testimonials and ensuring required assessments are carried out prior to employment Onboarding of newly appointed employees, including issuing employment contracts, ensuring the required documents are completed by the employee and submitting employee benefit and in-house system applications Conducting an effective induction program for all newly appointed and transferred employees Assisting management in monitoring progress of new employees and ensuring staff appraisals are carried out on a regular basis Ensuring that identified people are sent on appropriate training courses Ensuring that the HR policies and procedures are updated and strictly adhered to, including consistent application thereof and consequences for non-adherence Maintaining all personnel files and ensuring all employee information is accurately updated on relevant systems Monitoring of all leave, absenteeism and timekeeping Coordinating of grievance and disciplinary procedures and ensuring all relevant documentation is kept on record Termination of employment Ensuring all MIBCO and Union regulations are adhered to Ensure compliance to all relevant legislation and requirements e.g.health and safety, BCEA, B-BBEE, etc Keeping Management informed regarding Human Resource matters and assist with performance management Assisting with employee enquiries, e.g.medical aid, provident fund, etc Ensuring Employment Equity and Workplace Skills Reports are completed and submitted timeously to the Department of Labor Monthly reports and statutory returns such as UIF, PAYE, SDL, Workers compensation etc Ensuring employee incident control is documented and timeously reported (IOD report incident and follow up) Liaising with management on any salary changes/adjustments, including annual increases and bonusses PAYROLL Oversee the payroll administrator and responsible for: Ensuring timeous completion and review of payroll for all relevant entities, including overtime and absenteeism Monthly payroll file submitted on time.Initial review and check of all input to be conducted prior to submission Maintaining payroll setup on VIP Ensure all updates are loaded, backups made, IRP5 & other year end/annual processes completed Providing cost and payroll information as required e.g.External Auditors, SARS (including the bi-annual submission of IRP 5s to SARS), MIBCO, UIF, Workers compensation, etc Maintain ESS and VIP (payroll setup) Ensure all updates are loaded, backups made, IRP5 & other year end/annual processes completed Required Knowledge, skills and abilities: Minimum of 5 years demonstrated payroll and HR management experience in the Automotive industry with a staff compliment of 450 or more employees A working understanding of the MIBCO Main Collective Agreement, recognized union benefits, etc Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business Administration Application and interpretation of awards, acts, legislation and compliance requirements within HR and payroll Demonstrated team leadership ability Strong interpersonal skills Excellent planning, organizational, analytical and decision-making skills Good attention to detail Very high degree of discretion and confidentiality *Only candidates that meet the criteria will be shortlisted and contacted *If you have not heard from us within 14 days from submission of your CV to us, you can assume you have not been successful *Only candidates with Automotive Industry experience will be considered and contacted unless otherwise stipulated If you are interested and have the required SKILLS and EXPERIENCE according to the job spec, please UPLOAD your current, updated CV on our Website using the following link: https://selectmotor.co.za/job-application/ For further information please feel free to contact Debbie at Select Motor Recruitment 011 615 7747 Applications should be submitted no later than Thursday 20 June 2024.
