Group Financial Manager

Reporting directly to the Financial Director, youll be instrumental in streamlining processes, managing financial systems, and supporting Vanguards growth and financial integrity. Duties: Conduct weekly reviews of export container utilization, local and agent AR submissions, and 13-week cash forecasts.Manage weekly and monthly sales reporting and budget analyses for CFS & Ocean.Oversee monthly reviews of journals, balance sheets, and financial reporting accuracy.Lead monthly bonus calculations, branch income statements, and trade route analyses.Maintain and reconcile assets, including annual wear and tear calculations and asset acquisitions.Drive IFRS compliance, VAT returns, tax computations, and provisional and annual tax submissions.Support audit processes and manage company insurance, customs, and SARS-related compliance.Lead budgeting and strategic financial planning Job Experience & Skills Required: Qualifications: Matric (Grade 12)BCom Accounting / Finance or Management AccountingBCom Honours Accounting / Finance or Management AccountingCA(SA) OR CIMA Experience: Completed SAICA or SAIPA ArticlesMinimum 5 years of post-article experienceProven experience in corporate finance, ideally at a director level or similar role.Proficient in MS Office, SAP, and financial forecasting and analysis. Skills & Competencies: Analytical & Strategic: Ability to analyse data and foresee financial risks and opportunities.Leadership & Communication: Strong organizational and interpersonal skills to guide the finance team and collaborate with stakeholders.Attention to Detail: Trustworthy, methodical, and detail-oriented approach to managing finances and compliance.
