Group Financial Controller (Ca Sa) - Gauteng, East Rand

A dynamic manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to collaborate with the CFO in optimising financial operations, advancing Business Intelligence (BI) initiatives, and managing group reporting. This role focuses on comprehensive financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and delivering accurate group consolidations.ResponsibilitiesConsolidation, Review and Reporting, including Board & Audit committee packs and statutory reporting (AFS, audit & tax pack):Prepare, collate and present the monthly numbers to the CFOCapture, prepare and collate budget/forecast for review by CFOComplete and review bi-annual statutory audit packsComplete and review bi-annual tax packsComplete all annual financial statements and related supporting documentationLiaise with the business unit Financial Managers and CFO in relation to reporting requirementsLiaise with and attend to Head Office reporting requirementsQuarterly Board & ARC pack information including standardisation of report formatting (Oversee submissions of info pieces in the pack)Internal Audit and ControlsLiaise with and assist internal auditorsCoordination of the internal audit processFollow up on internal audit findingsEnsure effective internal control environmentEnsure implementation of standardised policies and SOP'sCompliance and Regulatory ReportingEnsure group compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and corporate policiesPrepare and submit regulatory filings and reports as requiredStay updated on changes in financial regulations and ensure the company's complianceFacilitate and oversee business processes included but not limited to: Procure to pay, Order to Cash, Distribution & Logistics, Hire to Retire, Warehousing & Manufacturing, Asset Management, Record to Report, Treasury, Taxation (direct & indirect)Financial Systems and TechnologyAct as custodian on BI projectsExternal AuditLiaise with and assist external auditorsCoordination and running of year-end auditStrategic PlanningProvide financial input to support long-term business goals and growth initiativesQualifications / Skills / Knowledge RequiredQualified CA (SA)Completed articles, min 5 years post article experience within Manufacturing, Engineering, FMCG or Mining industryExcellent interpersonal skills (with internal as well as external stakeholders)Excellent organisational and follow-up skills
