The successful candidate will possess of: Grain Grader qualification in Maize, Sorghum, or Sunflower; Certificate in Pest Control/Fumigation.
P Registration Licence with valid medical results Qualifications required: Grade 12 Qualified Grain Grader (Maize, Sorghum, Sunflower) Certificate in Pest Control/Fumigation P Registration Licence (valid with latest medical results) Valid driver's license and own transport Fluent in English Skills & experience required: Experience in conducting investigations, hygiene auditing with knowledge of Lab and grading equipment usage; Minimum of 3 years' experience in pest control management; Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience, Operational environment in FMCG (Food Manufacturing) as a Manager Experience in Silo operations / equipment; Previous experience with Mills will be an advantage.
Responsibilities: Grading and quality assurance of incoming Raw materials in compliance with Grading Regulations; Ensure Fumigation is done as per IPMP and raw materials managed while in storage with Zero tolerance on infestation; Compile daily, weekly and monthly raw material and pest control reports; Ensure Food Safety Management System is adhered to (FSSC22000) Conduct pre-inspections at suppliers on raw materials to ensure quality receive comply; GMO Maize: Ensure adequate and efficient transfer and offloading planning is in place; Non-GMO Maize: Ensure receipt, transfer, sampling, testing, grading of non-GMO raw materials is conducted correctly; Ensure that Maize comply with standard requirements; Prepare, conduct and track pest control actions and inspections using IPMP; Plan and order required remedies and equipment; Manage budget for departments; Manage the storage of, usage and disposal of all remedies and PPE; Ensure that all consignments of raw materials are sampled and inspected for infestation; Ensure that all returns are thoroughly inspected for any sign of infestation and that remedial action is taken as required; Ensure effective rodent, cat and bird control; Ensure pallet pest control is adequately performed; Ensure compliance to the OHSA as well as all relevant environmental legislation; Ensure compliance to all company OHS and environmental policies; Create and use track and control documents to ensure productivity and effective food, safety and quality management; Manage Raw Material stores & Silo to required standards.
