JOB TITLE: General Manager Sales & Marketing PURPOSE: Developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies, maintaining customer relations, and leading team of sales and marketing associates. MAJOR TASKS: Sales and Marketing GM Responsibilities:Development and implementation of Sales & Marketing StrategiesConducting market research on competitor productsDesigning and implementing marketing plans for company productsCoordinating with media representatives and sponsorsWorking with sales team to develop targeted sales strategiesMaintaining customer relationsTracking sales data to ensure the company meets sales quotasCreating and presenting sales performance reportsManage export markers effectively, identifying and capitalizing on growth opportunity Customer Relationships:Manage strategic relationships of all key accountsUnderstand their structures & key decision makersProvide regular updates on performance, & introduce new initiatives & productsUnderstand the macro & micro environment of the region, know the customer base & provide guidance & support in dealing with customersIdentify opportunities of growthBe the face of the organisation at industry functionsReporting & AdministrationConduct monthly forecasting for Mini BPT and Demand ForecastsWeekly forecasts and call reports & follow up on any issue that requires interventionCompile monthly sales reports for RHQ, & represent the region on monthly teleconsCompile and represent sales Quarterly Business Review (QBR)Update year to date performance, & substantiate any deviation to planAuthorise credit request / credit notes, and manage any requests for stock rotationsEnsure that all CRM data is updated & reviewed regularlyEnsure the sales process summary (SF-000) is executed, updated and adhere to by all stake holdersFinancial ManagementPrepare the departmental annual budgetManage the department budget within the prescribed limitsApprove requests for signageApprove expense claims SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business or Related fieldMinimum 5years experience in sales and marketing at a senior level within the Independent AftermarketExcellent analytical skillsHigh-level communication and networking skillsAbility to lead meetings at a senior levelA passion for salesUnderstanding of commercial trends and marketing strategiesGood project management skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to work well under pressureATTRIBUTESTeam playerGood automotive technical skill / understandingAbility to travelExcellent presentation skills REPORTS TOManaging Director DIRECT REPORTSNational Sales ManagerMarketing ManagerBusiness Development ManagerPricing and Data AnalystSales Admin Team Leader
