TWK Agri has the following vacancy available: GIS Technician within the Trade division at Piet Retief, Mpumalanga.

Job Purpose
The GIS Technician will be responsible for daily GIS data collection and management, quality assurance, visualisation, and analysis of agriculture-related vector and raster data, including satellite imagery.
Responsibilities and Duties Process, analyse and model GIS data for agricultural applicationsEnsure ongoing quality assurance, maintenance and distribution of spatial dataProvide support to end-users by generating maps, GIS reports and information productsCompile and organise GIS data from maps, databases and other sourcesConvert mapping resources and data into usable formatsPerform quality control on data collection projectsHandle general enquiries and market GIS products to clientsProduce high-quality maps for various purposesDigitise data from aerial photography and satellite imagery as neededCollect field data from farmers to support analysis and decision-making Qualifications and Skills Tertiary qualification in GIS, Geography, Cartography or Surveying1-3 years experience in a similar roleProficient in GIS software (ArcGIS or QGIS)Bilingual (Afrikaans and English)Ability to work under pressureAbility to work independentlyUnderstanding of farming practices and related aspects *The company can expire jobs at any time at their own discretion.
